Grant Development

New England INDEX provides the technology infrastructure for many grant-funded projects. We are very interested in partnering with nonprofit agencies and departments within our university to apply for grants that need technical implementation. Our partners can concentrate on their areas of expertise, while we build the technology such as Web sites, databases, and collaboration tools.

To that end, INDEX does and will help write grant applications. Within the grant guidelines, we:

• obtain from our partners a clear picture of what they hope to accomplish
• contribute ideas of our own where appropriate
• write descriptions of the technology required and its implementation
• develop budgets for initial and continuing costs

Because we have a great deal of experience with these kinds of activities, we can work quickly to provide the information needed. It is best if we are brought in early by our partners as ideas are just coming together. That way, we can both point people in good technological directions, as well as have the time to do whatever research and/or planning our partners need to incorporate the best-quality technical services into the project.
