Server Administration

For our clients' servers at their locations, we administer:

• Microsoft Windows Server
  • We set up all new hardware servers with Windows 2003 Server and Windows 2008 Server. Most importantly, we keep this server software up-to-date with the latest critical- and security patches.

• Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS)
  • This is the industry-standard Web server for Windows servers. We can set this up for any client wanting to host its own Web site(s).

• Microsoft SQL Server
  • This product needs an administrator who understands its configuration in detail, and knows how to secure it. We have this expertise. Let us administer it for you.

• MDaemon Pro E-mail Server
  • Want your own e-mail server but don't want to know how to configure POP & SMTP protocols, MX records, domain names, etc.? Let us manage these e-mail servers.

• Hardware servers from IBM, HP/Compaq, Dell, local companies, etc.
  • Dealing with technical support, fixing hardware conflicts, etc. may not be the primary responsibility of anyone at your organization. Let us do it for you.
  • For purchasing new servers, we will help our clients:
    • specify their needs (determine for which purposes the server will be used)
    • find the best servers at the lowest cost (we know how to find good bargains)
    • set them up (assemble components, define RAID arrays, etc.)
    • install the appropriate operating system and applications
    • configure security to the best settings
    • test that everything is working
